XABIZO

Born and raised in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Nthabiseng Xabiso Mokadi, known as "Xabizo" has been singing since she could talk and writing songs from the age of 8 years old. She joined choirs in primary and secondary school. She began her recording career officially at 15 years old, providing harmony vocals and lyrics for local artists and casually producing music. She began to find interest in cultivating her skills in the world of sound outside of her singing. This resulted in her studying at SAE institute where she is currently obtaining her qualifications in sound engineering with a Bachelor of Sound in Music Production. The 21 year old blends her music with Deep house, Afro house and elements of Neo-Soul to create her soft melodies. Her stage name is derived from her second name "Xabiso" which means "Value" in Xhosa, affectionately given to her by her ancestors. She has been added to house music mixes, radio edits, and released collaborations under labels like Stay True Sounds and Villa Hanger, working with producers; Tea white, Hypaphonik, Luka, Double Drop, Leo Guardo, AndileAndy, Ed-Ward, Tebza De SouL & more.
